Transgender Awareness Week

Hey BEARS, 

This week is Transgender Awareness Week.  Below is a resource created in conjunction with many GSA students across the DDSB that can be used in classes. 

Additionally, we will be hosting our own Transgender Day of Remembrance flag raising on Thursday Nov. 18 at 7:30am for any staff who wish to join our GSA students at the flagpole that day.

DDSB will be raising the Transgender Flag at the Education Centre on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 (due to the provincial PD days on November 18th). We invite all schools to raise their flag during Transgender Awareness week, or closer to Transgender Day of Remembrance. The Education Centre ceremony will be live-streamed to DDSB Facebook and Twitter. The link to the stream will be sent in an email, next week.
